Description

Poppy's ideal home

Meet adorable little Poppy who is hoping to find her forever home with her best friend, Shadow. Both Poppy and Shadow are currently living off site in a foster home where they have been housetrained and quite happy being left for a few hours. They're both in their senior years so are looking for a peaceful and relaxing retirement home where they can enjoy some peace and quiet. Poppy loves having fuss and attention from her foster carers and loves to have a snuggle on the sofa. She knows how to sit for a tasty treat and with wait calmly to have her harness and lead on to get ready for a walk. They both walk lovely on the lead and are quite happy having sniffs and exploring together. They're also quite happy passing dogs on walks, however they would rather be the only pets in their forever homes. As Shadow can be a little bit shy and sensitive they would be best suited to older teenagers who can understand that they like their own space at times and enjoy relaxing on their own.

Could you be Poppy's perfect match?

Despite their years, both Shadow and Poppy have lots of love to give their forever family. So if you're looking for a companion or two to keep your company, have some snuggles and enjoy gentle walkies these two could be your paw-fect match! They do have some ongoing medical needs that our team would be happy to chat you through.

He is a friendly boy with most people, but has been worried in a couple of situations so is best suited to a home where the youngest people are teenagers. Loki can potentially live with another dog too; though this would all be dependent on a successful mix at the centre prior to adoption.

Pomeranian Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Pomeranian.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
